The Boogie Cousins Drama continues as a report from the New York Time’ Marc Stein says the All-star Center rejected a massive offer from the Pelicans during the regular season to hold out for more cash that never came once he hit free agency. Stein says The Pels offered a two year 40 million dollar contract to Cousins after he tore his Achilles, but before the Pels were bounced out of the playoffs by the eventual champs. This runs contrary to what Cousin’s version of events, where he claims New Orleans never offered him a deal, let alone one that would have netted him 35 million dollars more than the one year 5.3 million dollar offer he accepted from the Golden State Warriors. The report says the LeBron led Lakers also offered him a similar one year 5 million dollar contract, but that deal was shot down by the Cousins camp in favor of a move to the Bay Area.

Other reports coming out indicate that Franchise Cornerstone and MVP Candidate Anthony Davis did not push the franchise to sign the troubled Center.

Pelicans beat writer for the Advocate Scott Kushner says adding the talented but raw Randle will be a big improvement for the Pelicans rotation that had a serious lack of depth last year.
