In Monday Night Football action, the Green Bay Packers held off the Atlanta Falcons 43-37. Aaron Rodgers threw for 327 yards and three touchdowns as the Pack improves to 10-3 on the year. The matchup for the Duck Commander Independence Bowl has been set as the South Carolina Gamecocks will face the Miami Hurricanes on December 27th in Shreveport. Independence Bowl Public Relations Director, Stefan Nolet, says the excitement for this year’s game began in February when West Monroe-based Duck Commander signed on as the game’s sponsor…

5 State football champions will be crowned this weekend at the AllState Sugar Bowl LHSAA Prep Classic in the Mercedes Benz Superdome. In Class 1A, Mangham will take on Haynesville. Many faces Kinder in the Class 2A final. In 3A, it’s Livonia versus Amite. Class 4A sees Warren Easton play Neville. And in Class 5A, Destrehan will face Acadiana.
