The LSU baseball team travels out to Corvallis this afternoon as they continue preparations for Friday’s Regional opener against San Diego State. Coach Paul Mainieri gave us a scouting report on the Aztecs….

Mainieri has yet to decide on who he will start on the mound against San Diego State.

Ponchatoula Quarterback TJ Finley has made the decision to commit to LSU, even though he’s yet to start his junior season. Finley is six-foot-five, 210 pounds and he’s ranked as the ninth best pro-style quarterback for 2020 by 24-7 sports.

The SEC has announced the LSU-Auburn football game on the Plains will kick-off at 2:30 as CBS will televise the game.

Good news for LSU basketball, point guard Tremont Waters announces he’s returning for his sophomore season after putting his name in for the 2018 NBA draft. Waters reportedly worked out for the Thunder and Hawks, while also visiting the Celtics. He said on his Instagram account that he feels its best to return to LSU and continue to improve as a player.

Conference USA has announced a significant change to its men’s basketball schedule in an effort to make sure the best teams in the league play each other late in the season. The proposal is to help bubble teams get in the NCAA Tournament, if they do not win the conference tournament. tthe final four games, the top five teams in the league will play each other.

SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey says there continues to be an ongoing dialog when it comes to repealing the SEC rule that prohibits alcohol sales inside stadiums. LSU has been seeking to change the rule for years.
