The Opelousas Police Department has identified the 11-year-old girl who was killed during a weekend police chase as Bryla Bell. Authorities say Bell was driving a truck after she reportedly snuck out of her home. Two men were with the girl prior to her death and authorities still want to talk with them.

LSU and Northwestern State are both headed to the Pacific Northwest as they are in the Corvallis Regional, hosted by Oregon State. The Tigers will open the regional playing San Diego State.
