A 26-year-old Monroe Police Officer died in a single-vehicle crash last night. Ayrian Williams was an LSU grad and New Orleans native who worked at the Southern Campus Police Department before taking a job with Monroe P-D last November. Police Chief Eugene Ellis says Officer Williams had a great reputation and had the talent to work anywhere.

Williams is the second Monroe officer to die in the line of duty this year.
