In the final days before Saturday’s election, a new poll on the 6th District Congressional race shows Republican Garrett Graves with 53-percent of the vote while Democratic former governor Edwin Edwards has 47-percent. Louisiana State Police say a woman from Arkansas died in a Union Parish crash that also seriously injured an occupant from northeast Louisiana last night. They say 59-year-old Thomas Bates of Monroe veered off Highway 15, crashed and flipped. Investigators say both Bates and passenger 26-year-old Donyalle Harris of Crossett Arkansas were not buckled up and were ejected. Harris was pronounced dead at the scene and Bates remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
