A domestic violence firearms bill cleared a House panel that further restricts possession of a gun by someone who is under a protective order. A woman is under arrest for allegedly stealing a horse, and selling it for 1,000 dollars cash on the internet. 27-year-old Sarah Broussard of Scott was booked into the Lafayette Parish Jail on the charge of Theft of Property valued over 500 dollars. Ag Commisioner Mike Strain says the purchaser had no clue the horse was stolen.

The owner of the horse didn’t realize his animal was stolen, because he doesn’t live where the horse reside. Strain did not say how the woman stole the horse.

Tonight is a big night for NFL fans as it’s the first round of the draft. New Orleans Saints have the 27th overall pick, but there was a report today that said the Black and Gold is interested in moving up. Former LSU running back Derius Guice is expected to be a first round pick, despite reports that some NFL teams are concerned about character issues involving Guice.
