After losing to Oklahoma City last night, there’s just five games left in the regular season for the Pelicans, who occupy the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. New Orleans has just a one game lead over Denver, who is in ninth place.

Former LSU football coach Les Miles is dipping his toes into the film industry, looking to take his distinctive character to the silver screen. Patrick Mulhearn a Senior Director at Louisiana Economic Development says the transition from pigskin to productions should be smooth for the Mad Hatter.

Miles has been taking acting classes and he’ll appear as a NASA chief in a movie called Angry Men, which will be released in June.

Former LSU golfer Sam Burns won his first tournament on the Web-dot-com tour. Burns birdied four of his last five holes to win the Savannah Golf Championship in Georgia. The Shreveport native won 99-thousand dollars and is fourth on the Web.com money list.
