A settlement has been reached in the civil lawsuit against two law enforcement officers that have been convicted criminally in the death of a six-year-old autistic boy during a traffic stop in Marksville in 2015. An attorney for the family of Jeremy Mardis says he can’t disclose the terms. Derrick Stafford was sentenced to 40 years, while Norris Greenhouse is serving 7-and-a-half years behind bars.

Unfortunately there are thousands of Louisiana families who have a loved one suffering with Alzheimer’s disease this Easter weekend. Adrienne Mullens, with the Alzheimer’s Association Louisiana Chapter, says they estimate there are 232-thousand people in Louisiana who care for someone with Alzheimer’s….

Mullens says they are calling on the state legislature to provide assistance for those families who miss hours at work to care for Alzheimer patient.
