The high school football playoffs resume tomorrow night. In Class Four-A…top seeded Plaquemine will host ninth seeded South Terrebonne in a quarterfinal matchup. Both teams have one loss. And in the Division Two Semi-finals…Catholic High of New Iberia hosts Isidore Newman and Riverside takes on Calvary Baptist.

The Saints will look to snap their three-game losing streak on Sunday when they travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers. Quarterback Drew Brees remains positive even though they haven’t won a game since October 30th…

The Saints are tied with Atlanta for first in the NFC South, despite a four and seven record.

In the NBA…the Pelicans are at Atlanta tomorrow night. New Orleans is 7-and-6 on the season, while the Hawks are 7-and-5. Former Louisiana Tech star Paul Millsap is averaging nearly 17 points a game for Atlanta.

In college hoops…Louisiana Tech concludes a four-game homestand by taking on Samford tomorrow night. Tulane, who is off to a 3-and-1 start, will host Southeastern Louisiana tomorrow. The Lions won their first game of the season last night, beating Tennessee Tech 86-65.
