With one game left in the regular season, the Ragin Cajuns are still in position to share the Sun Belt Conference Championship, despite their loss last week to Appalachian State. But UL Lafayette Coach Mark Hudspeth says they have to forget about that loss to the Mountaineers…

For U-L Lafayette to claim at least a share of the Sun Belt title, they’ll need ULM to beat Georgia Southern on Saturday and the Cajuns will need to knock off Troy.

LSU leaves today for its Thanksgiving match-up with Texas A-and-M in College Station. It’s the Tigers first game on Turkey Day since 1983, when they beat Tulane 20-7 in the Louisiana Superdome. Anthony Jennings is expected to start once again at quarterback and Coach Les Miles has given no indication on whether Brandon Harris will play.

U-L-M is looking to close out the 2014 campaign with back-to-back wins, but it won’t be easy against a Georgia Southern team that leads the country in rushing yards per game. Warhawks Coach Todd Berry says Eagles Quarterback Kevin Ellison does a good job of directing their triple-option offense…

The Warhawks snapped a six-game losing streak with a win over New Mexico State last week.

Anthony Davis was held to just 14 points as the Sacramento Kings stunned the Pelicans 99-89 in front of an announced sell out crowd in the Smoothie King Center last night. Tyreke Evans scored 22 as the Pels fall to 7-6 on the season.

In college basketball action…It was Tulane over Southern 74-59, UL-Lafayette downed Oral Roberts 76-52, Northwestern State couldn’t quite match up with Texas Tech as they lost 75-64.
