The Pelicans are flying high as they have a six-game winning streak thanks to the outstanding play by five-time All-Star Anthony Davis. A-D had 53 points, 18 rebounds and five blocked shots in a 125-116 win over the Phoenix Suns. During this six-game winning streak, A-D has scored 38 or more points five times and has eclipsed 40 points four times. With 22 games left in the regular season, the Pelicans are tied for fifth place in the Western Conference and they begin a three-game road trip tomorrow in San Antonio.

LSU football has announced that Texas Tech transfer Jonathan Giles will wear number seven for the Tigers in 2018. The wide receiver is eligible to play this season after sitting out last year because of NCAA transfer rules. He caught 69 passes for 1,158 yards and 13 touchdowns in his last season in Lubbock in 2016.

Former LSU Tiger and Philadelphia Eagles punter Donnie Jones has announced his retirement from the NFL after 14 seasons.

LSU men’s basketball coach Will Wade says himself and the program have had zero contact with the NCAA. LSU is at South Carolina tomorrow and the Tigers finish the regular season on Saturday against Mississippi State. If the season ended today, the Tigers would be the 10th seed in the SEC Tournament in St. Louis.

In college baseball tonight, LSU hosts Grambling State, while Northwestern State and Louisiana Tech has postponed until tomorrow.

The Sun Belt Conference released its football schedule for 2018. The Cajuns will visit the Warhawks in Monroe on November 24th.
