Officials say three people are dead, two are in critical condition following another tragic home fire. This one was in Baton Rouge. State Fire Marshal Butch Browning says 16 people have died in home fires since the Christmas holiday and space heaters are to blame for many of these deaths….

Browning says do no use extension cords with space heaters and a space heater should be the only thing plugged into an outlet.

Of course the cold weather is the reason for the use of space heaters. But State Climatologist Barry Keim says warmer days are coming and some areas we’ll see high temperatures into the 50s today…
