A deadly house fire kills four people early this morning in Baton Rouge.  The Baton Rouge Fire Department responded to the home on Iroquios Street.  Two others, a five and a 19-year-old were taken to a hospital.  Ten have now died in East Baton Rouge Parish so far this year in house fires.  Three victims were killed in a Zachary house fire late Wednesday night.

The cold weather that has gripped the state since New Year’s will begin lessening today.  The state is seeing an increase in house fires and shattered pipes because of the cold weather. State Climatologist Barry Keim says it will all be a memory soon…
