The mothers of the victims claim their sons were injured by a group of white males, after a white female spoke to another black male with their sons.

State Police say a Bastrop man will be charged with attempted murder of a police officer once he is released from the hospitals. Authorities say 36-year-old Dusty Sanders exchanged gunman with a Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s deputy early yesterday morning. Sanders remains in the hospital. The deputy was not injured.
