The US Department of Housing and Urban Development has issued a new report which shows homelessness in Louisiana has fallen over the past four years. The numbers indicate a 12 percent decline in the number of homeless people over the past year and down about 63 percent since 2010.
Louisiana is once again hit with another chilly day and is facing more freezing temperatures tonight. The National Weather Service has issued more freeze warnings for the bottom half of the state from 11pm tonight to 9am tomorrow morning. Meteorologist Joe Rua says most of the northern and central part of the state will get temperatures in the mid 20s…:

The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s office is investigating an officer involved shooting out of Jeanerette. Major Ryan Turner says Jeanerette cops encountered the suspect causing a disturbance last night…:

42-year-old Lance Dauphine of Jeanerette and the officer were released from the hospital and Dauhpine is charged with attempted murder.
