Governor John Bel Edwards has set a deadline of January 19th to reach a deal with House Republican leaders on a possible solution regarding a looming one-billion dollar budget deficit. Edwards says failure to reach an agreement will mean deep cuts to health care and higher education when he presents a budget to legislators next month….
