Congressman Ralph Abraham says he has received assurances from Governor Edwards to keep the LSU Health Medical School in Shreveport open.  Edwards says his administration has worked for more than a year to provide quality medical care to northwest Louisiana, and they are looking to improve the access to health care in the region.  LSU officials and hospital representatives are negotiating with Ochsner (oxner) Health System to take over as hospital manager.
