Two Slidell Junior High School students are arrested after allegedly bringing a firearm to school.  Police received a crime stoppers tip that a 14-year-old boy brought the weapon while a 12-year-old boy showed the weapon to several students.  The younger boy also went as far as pointing it at another student and making threats on social media.  Both suspects are in custody at the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center.

Denham Springs Police have arrested a man who allegedly tried to rob a woman at gunpoint during a sale of an XBOX video game.  The victim told police that she met Michael Mitchell at a bank parking lot, when Mitchell drew a gun.  The victim screamed and Mitchell fled from the scene in a car.  He was later found at a Baton Rouge restaurant where he was taken into custody.  The victim identified him in a police lineup.  He is in custody on a 100-thousand-dollar bond.

East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore released the findings in the 2016 officer-involved shooting death of 48-year-old Terrell Walker. Cops believe Walker shot and killed his girlfriend on Essen Lane, then fled.  Moore says when Walker left the scene the first time, he soon returned and fired into a crowd of people and paramedics who were treating the mortally-wounded girlfriend, April Peck. Moore says one of the EMS workers recalled hearing the suspect yell numerous threats as he was firing shots at those assisting the injured female…:

State Police and the FBI seek the public’s help in the apprehension of suspects involved in two bank robberies in north Louisiana. Senior Trooper Michael Reichardt says the suspected man and woman should be considered armed and dangerous.  He says if you see something suspicious, report it to police or the FBI…
