A State Police report obtained by the Advocate accuses the former head of the L-S-P, Mike Edmonson, of deleting text messages amid an investigation into a side trip troopers took to Las Vegas while driving to a law enforcement conference in San Diego. Edmonson reportedly received sightseeing photos, even though he publicly condemened the side trip.

A 17-year-old student at North Webster High School in Springhill is under arrest for allegedly murdering a classmate. Springhill Police Chief Will Lynd says Josh Lewis of Cotton Valley confessed to the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Jaylen Thomas. He says a disagreement between two teens that Lewis and Thomas knew sparked the shooting…:
