Slidell Police say they have charged a 14-year-old after he lead cops on a high speed chase which ended in a head-on crash. They say officers tried to pull over a Lexus SUV for not having headlights on, when it took off before crashing into another vehicle injuring that driver. The teen then got out an ran, but was taken into custody by a K-9. He faces many charges including aggravated flight from an officer, resisting an officer by violence, reckless operation negligent injury and no driver’s license.
Slidell Senator Sharon Hewitt is asking the state auditor to review the state’s sexual harassment policies, including the hiring of Johnny Anderson. The governor’s former aide resigned last week amid accusations of sexual harassment. Hewitt says she wonders why Governor Edwards hired him in the first place…:

The governor’s office says previous investigations involving Anderson did not find any wrongdoing.
The city of Alexandria’s Christmas festival starts tonight as Alex Winter Fete kicks off. Community Services Director for Alexandria, Robert Weeks, says the festival runs through Saturday night and visitors will enjoy live music, food, an Indie Village — and everyone’s favorite; ice-skating.:
