The National Weather Service says there is a freeze warning in effect from 11pm this evening to 9am tomorrow morning for most of the state — and a HARD freeze warning has been issued for many parishes along I-10 in Acadiana and Calcasieu from midnight to 8am Friday. Meteorologists report freezing temperatures could last between 3 and 8 hours and plants should be protected and animals brought indoors.

According to Bloomberg, 96-percent of TV ads which ran during the 1st week of the US-Senate runoff campaigns supported Republican Bill Cassidy. Political analyst Bernie Pinsonat says this isn’t surprising considering National Democrats already pulled incumbent Senator Mary Landrieu’s ads…:

He says you can continue to see Republicans pump funds into this race to help Cassidy.

An LSU police officer remains in stable condition after getting hit by a passing vehicle late Saturday night in which Alabama team doctors rushed to his aid. The story is starting to grab national headlines. The doctors were part of the team’s motorcade according to LSUPD spokesman Captain Corey Lalande

He says 33-year-old Sgt. Christopher Gresham sustained very serious injuries but thankfully the Bama doctors were able to stabilize him before EMS arrives.

As Representative Bill Cassidy wages a runoff campaign against Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu, he’ll be getting some in-person support this weekend from Sarah Palin and Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty. Palin had previously endorsed Col Rob Maness but now she’s thrown her support behind Cassidy.
