State Police is investigating an officer involved shooting in Baton Rouge in which a man has been shot and killed. It’s standard protocol for troopers to handle investigations into shootings when cops are involved. It happened when a state child case worker asked for a BRPD police escort while conducting an investigation at the Palms Apartments. At some point, an altercation ensued with the man who was killed, and the officer sustained a minor injury.

Black Friday is next week and retailers are gearing up for a busy shopping season. An October survey from a tax counseling firm found that online holiday shopping is expected to beat in-store sales for the first time. But LSU Marketing Professor Dan Rice says brick and mortar stores can be still very profitable…:
