The Edwards Administration says Attorney General Jeff Landry is off base in saying that Medicaid expansion is worsening the state’s opioid epidemic. Landry asserts that hundreds of thousands of new prescriptions have been provided in the past year at almost no cost, which has exacerbated the crisis. L-D-H Chief of Staff Andrew Tuozzollo..:

Governor John Bel Edwards is set to make a major economic development announcement this afternoon. In a release, the news was called “one of the most significant economic development announcements in Louisiana history.” It gave no other information other than location and time, 2pm at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
