State Police say they are investigating an officer involved shooting out of Terrebonne Parish in which a subject was killed. They say early investigations revealed deputies with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Department were responding to a domestic dispute, and when they arrived they encountered a man who was armed and had barricaded himself inside. At some point, the man was shot by deputies and died at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
An F-15 flyover over Tiger Stadium, to coincide with Veterans Day, will take place as originally scheduled despite being canceled the day before. The planes are expected to fly north to south over Tiger Stadium just as the National Anthem is ending before the 11am kickoff between LSU and Arkansas. The last time the Tigers played in Death Valley in the morning was 2011.
Early voting for the November 18th election ends at 6pm today. On the ballot is a race for state treasurer, and a historic mayoral election in New Orleans.
U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, a member of the Senate Finance Committee, supports the the Senate’s GOP tax plan. He says the proposed legislation would help families and help businesses grow by cutting taxes and simplifying the tax code….:
