Saints Head Coach Sean Payton said today that cornerback Delvin Breaux will remain on injured reserve and will not play in 2017. Breaux suffered a setback in his attempt to return from surgery to repair a fracture fibula. New Orleans has not really missed Breaux. The team ranks 12th in the NFL in pass defense as young starters Marshon Lattimore and Ken Crawley have played well.
The Pelcians wrap up a four-game road trip tonight in Toronto. New Orleans will play its first game with a winning record since April 2015. The Pels are 6-and-5, while the Raptors are 6-and-4. New Orleans has played well on the road this season as they have a 5-and-2 record.
The college basketball season starts tomorrow. Head Coach Will Wade knows freshman Tremont Walters, sophomore Skylar Mays and senior Duop Reath will start. He’s not sure who will will start at the other two positions.
LSU’s first home game in about a month is on Saturday as the Tigers host Arkansas. Razorbacks Head Coach Brett Bielema is familiar with LSU offensive coordinator Matt Canada. Canada was Bielema’s offensive coordinator in 2012 when they were at Wisconsin. Bielema says they have to expect the unexpected against LSU’s offense…

There are 13 players from Louisiana on Arkansas’ roster, including quarterback Cole Kelley. Bielema has yet to announce a starting quarterback. It could be Austin Allen, who is back practicing after suffering a shoulder injury.
