Many people aren’t happy about a New Orleans television station’s investigative findings that some state troopers could be getting paid for time they didn’t actually work. As a result, three troopers have been suspended pending an investigation by LSP and the DA funded LACE program has been stopped for now. Mayor Doug Cain says this is unfortunate..:

Washington Parish authorities arrest the owner of a 2006 Porsche after he allegedly had to employees burn his flood damaged vehicle so he could get insurance money. Chief Deputy Mike Haley says the owner busted is 49-year-old Gary Joseph Leblanc, and the workers weren’t hard to find…:

A Natchitoches Central Coach has been issued a summons on simple battery charges for allegedly being too rough with a player. They say the 17-year-old player reported Coach John Daughtery grabbed his helmet, pulled it off and then pulled him into a locker room by his jersey.
