In the wake of the tragic church shooting in Texas, Jeff Palermo spoke with former state representative Henry Burns who passed a law to allow concealed handgun permit holders to bring a gun into church for protection.

A 67-year-old Baton Rouge woman missing since October 27th has been located in Biloxi and if safe and sound. The Biloxi Police Department says Linda Thompson was found in a house under construction. Authorities do not suspect any foul play.

 

Early voting is underway for the November 18th election but Secretary of State Tom Schedler doesn’t expect a big turnout. Schedler blames the turbulence in Washington D.C. as the main driving force behind voter apathy. He says voters are just sick and tired of a system that seems dysfunctional.

Early voting remains open until Saturday with the exception of Friday for the observance of Veteran’s Day.

LSU’s final three regular season games are against Arkansas, Tennessee and Texas A-and-M. After the Tiger’s loss to Alabama there is talk freshman Myles Brennan could become the starting quarterback, even though Coach O says Danny Etling will remain the starter. Tiger Rag Editor James Moran anticipates Orgeron will give Brennan some snaps with the game still on the line.
