Two out of state residents were killed in an overnight crash involving four 18-wheelers on Interstate 10 in West Baton Rouge Parish.  The wreck led to the closure of I-10 Eastbound near the Mississippi River Bridge.  State Police Trooper Bryan Lee says the pile-up could have been avoided if the now deceased driver saw that traffic was coming to a stop…

Governor John Bel Edwards has been in Puerto Rico today along with leaders of the Louisiana National Guard and the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness to observe and give support to the island nation as it recovers from Hurricane Maria.  Shortly after the storm, Louisiana launched a donation drive for Puerto Rico.  The governor’s spokesperson Shauna Sanford says the state has sent approximately 100 pallets worth of essential items from diapers to non-perishable formula to help in the recovery efforts…

An investigative audit accuses three former cashiers at Grambling State University improperly added over 164-thousand-dollars to G-Flex accounts that were used by 35 students and two of the former cashiers.
