Governor John Bel Edwards is in Puerto Rico today to offer leaders of the island support as they recover from Hurricane Maria. Louisiana has already launched a donation drive for Puerto Rico and Edwards spokeswoman Shauna Sanford says the state has sent approximately 100 pallets worth of essential items to help in the recovery efforts..:

The big game of the year has arrived as LSU visits top ranked Alabama this Saturday. The Bayou Bengals are looking for their first win over the Crimson Tide since 2011. Bama is a three touchdown favorite and LSU Coach Ed Orgeron spoke today about the key to beating the defending SEC champs:

On another LSU note, the school announced the time for the Arkansas game on November 11th will be 11am in Tiger Stadium.

A state audit finds three former cashiers at Grambling improperly added nearly $165,000 dollars to the university accounts of 35 students, including the personal accounts of two of the former employees. Director of Investigative Audits Roger Harris says the money has been paid back through Grambling’s general fund, but they still want to recover the money
