Saints fans had a brief freak-out when Michael Thomas was reported to have a knee injury that kept him out of practice earlier this week. But the second year wide receiver returned to the field Thursday, putting at rest any worries that this may be a more serious injury.

In Demarcus Cousins’ first game against his former team, the All Star racked up 41 points for the Pelicans in New Orleans’ 114-106 win over the Kings at the Golden 1 Center last night. Boogie also had 23 rebounds in the game and is the first NBA player to post that stat line since 1987.

The best college football game in the state this weekend will likely take place in Hammond where Southeastern Louisiana will host 5th ranked Sam Houston State. Lions Coach Ron Roberts says they are facing one of the best programs on the F-C-S level…:

In high school football scores last night, West Monroe edged Ouachita, 14-13. Notre Dame topped Welsh, 48-7. Red River fell to Many, 28-7. Alexandria dominated Pineville, 56-21. And Jena got by Caldwell, 29-26.
