Hicks has been quiet this week and in an interview he said he rather not talk about Drew Brees.

DeMarcus Cousins returns to Sacramento tonight as the Pelcians close out a three-game road trip against the Kings. No word if Anthony Davis will play after leaving Tuesday’s loss to Portland with a knee injury.

LSU right tackle Toby Weathersby says he’s feeling much better after dealing with heat-related headaches. Weathersby didn’t play against Troy and Auburn. And LSU cornerback Donte Jackson says time will only tell if he’ll leave after his junior season. Head Coach Ed Orgeron told reporters this week that he needs to recruit cornerbacks, because he could be losing both Jackson and Kevin Toliver.

Former LSU standout Alex Bregman says it was the best baseball game ever as the Houston Astros outlasted the Los Angeles Dodgers seven to six in eleven innings. Bregman was two for six with one run scored and he drove in the first run of the game for the second consecutive night. He also made a nice play in the field on a line drive in the 10th inning. Game 3 is tomorrow night in Houston.

Because of possible rain in the forecast tomorrow, several high school football games have been moved to Thursday night. In Southwest Louisiana, Welsh will host the Notre Dame Pioneers. It’s the first meeting between the two teams since 1996 and both come into tonight’s contest undefeated. And in northeast Louisiana….West Monroe takes on Ouachita.
