There have been multiple fatal incidents in the state in the past several hours. A house fire in New Orleans has claimed the lives of two adults and three children and a head-on collision in Terrebonne Parish has claimed the lives of three others. We will have more information on both of these stories in future newscasts.

Meanwhile, Republicans, even far-right conservatives, are getting behind Cassidy’s US Senate campaign.

No charges will be filed in a fatal shooting of a hunter in Rapides Parish. Sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Tommy Carnline says 37-year-old Michael Haynes of Alexandria was the victim of a single gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. He says detectives responded as well as the crime scene unit…

He says this is another reminder for hunters to wear clothing that clearly makes them visible to other hunters.
