The shooting occurred around midnight. Authorities say there was an altercation in a dorm room and it ended violently in a courtyard. A description of the suspect has not been given.

Natchitoches Police have arrested two more individuals in the Sunday afternoon shooting that injured two young girls. Twenty-five-year-old Christopher Kelley has been booked on four counts attempted first degree murder and a 16-year-old is facing two counts of attempted first degree murder. The children are expected to make a fully recovery.

The federal government wants to hold the largest oil and gas lease sale ever in the United States as it plans to put up nearly 77-million acres up for sale in the Gulf of Mexico.
