Authorities say two people were shot dead on the campus of Grambling State University, and the gunman is at large. GSU spokesman Will Sutton says they believe an altercation took place inside a dorm room, and spilled into a courtyard outside when the shooting took place. He says a suspect or motive is not being released at this time; but they do have leads.:

He says GSU offices remain open, and classes are on as scheduled. The victims have been identified by GSU officials as 23-year-old Earl Andrews, a senior student, and his friend, 23-year-old Monquiarious Caldwell, both of Farmerville. The investigation is ongoing.

New Orleans music legend Fats Domino has reportedly passed away at the age of 89. He is best known for songs such as Blueberry Hill, Ain’t That a Shame and Walking to New Orleans.

The Interior Department plans to put nearly 77-million acres in the Gulf of Mexico on sale for energy companies to perform oil and gas development. President of the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association Don Briggs says this would be the largest oil and gas lease sale in U-S history..:
