Two men have been shot and killed on the campus of Grambling State University, and at last report; the shooter was still at large. The victims have been identified by GSU officials as 23-year-old Earl Andrews, a senior student, and his friend, 23-year-old Monquiarious Caldwell, both of Farmerville. More on this as it develops.

A Jefferson Parish man is behind bars for allegedly stealing a car from a Union Parish convenience store without realizing there was a one-year-old in the back seat. Marion Police Chief Mark Dodd says the suspect had just left a rehab facility for drug and alcohol addicts…:

He says 31-year-old Gregory Mitchell brought the baby back to his mother after discovering the child, and was soon taken into custody.

Governor John Bel Edwards will be in Lake Charles today to tour the new VA Outpatient Clinic. Director of the Alexandria VA System Pete Dancy says this facility will expand care for some seven-thousand vets in southwest Louisiana…:
