Kenner Representative Julie Stokes says her treatment for breast cancer is going well as she goes through 5-months of chemotherapy, which forced her to drop out of the race for State Treasurer. Stokes says she is now in her second round of treatment, which is more intense, but the results so far are positive…:

The Union Parish Sheriff’s Office says a man was arrested for allegedly stealing a car with a baby inside. They say the suspect reported he did not know the child was in the vehicle at the time; but upon making the discovery he returned the car. The man was arrested; the investigation is ongoing.

The lineup for the 2018 Bayou Country Superfest has been announced, and the big name next Memorial Day weekend is non other than George Strait. He’ll be the headliner after country music fans hear from Little Big Town, and Chris Stapleton. The show will be May 27th inside the Mercedes Benz Superdome.
