Gas prices continue to drop to numbers we haven’t seen in a little less than half a decade. The current statewide average for a gallon of regular in Louisiana is $2.76. Senior Petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan says they predict the price per gallon will drop another 5-10 cents before Turkey Day…:

DeHaan says autumn prices typically drop because of the decrease in demand and cost savings associated with the cheaper winter-blend gasoline.

The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office says a man from Houma is under arrest for allegedly beating up his 82-year-old step father. They say cops arrived to find the victim suffering from multiple injuries. Investigators were told by the man that his step-son, 51-year-old Simon Fontenot, beat him with a chair and repeatedly kicked him in the face. Fontenot is charged with aggravated battery.

LSU lost its fourth straight game to Alabama and Coach Les Miles says this one left a bad taste in his mouth. Jeff Palermo has the story…:

The Louisiana Lottery says the Powerball was hit in Saturday night’s drawing. Someone in Missouri is $203 million dollars richer. The Top prize for Wednesday’s drawing now goes back down to $40 million.
