It appears gas prices will continue fall through the Thanksgiving travel season. Michelle Southern reports.

A 44-year-old Colfax man is dead after a two vehicle crash over the weekend in Grant Parish. Louisiana State Police say a pickup truck attempted to make a left hand turn when it collided with a motorcycle driven by Angel Muro. Muro, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead. The driver of the pickup, 31-year-old Jason Daniels of Lafayette, was charged with failure to yield. The investigation is ongoing.

There’s a ceremony today celebrating the long awaited completion of the final section of Interstate 49 in northwest Louisiana. The final stretch of roadway connects Texarkana, Arkansas to Shreveport. Haughton Representative Henry Burns says they are thrilled about the completion of I-49 in Shreveport…

Interstate 49 is a north-south highway under construction connecting Kansas City, Missouri to Lafayette.

Eating shrimp from an area of the Gulf of Mexico impacted by the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill poses no acute health risks or increased cancer risks according to Tulane researchers. Research professor Mark Wilson says when the spill occurred, there were concerns that shrimp would be contaminated by a class of chemicals that can pose health hazards…
