Baton Rouge Police has arrested a man accused of raping a woman at gunpoint. Authorities say once 27-year-old Kenny Davis entered the woman’s apartment, he pulled a gun, demanded money, and then raped her. Davis is charged with aggravated rape, armed robbery, and other charges. Police say Davis met the woman after she posted an advertisement on the internet website, Backpage.

Tulane researchers determine there are no acute health risks or increased cancer risks from eating shrimp from an area of the Gulf of Mexico impacted by the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Research professor Mark Wilson hopes the study’s results will get to wholesalers and distributors, who still may have concerns Gulf Shrimp are contaminated with unhealthy chemicals…
