The Boy Scouts of America will now allow girls to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. Kelley Ray has more on why Boy Scout officials are happy with this decision….

Tomorrow is Election Day in Louisiana and the polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Secretary of State Tom Schedler predicts about a 15-percent turnout statewide. He expects turnout in Orleans Parish to be a little higher, as New Orleans has a big mayoral election.

13 parishes in the state only have the treasurer’s race and three constitutional amendments on the ballot. Schedler says bring a friend to the booth with you on Saturday to cast your vote. He says voters in New Hampshire throw parties during early voting so maybe Louisiana should try something similar.

The Public Service Commissioner election is big one in many south Louisiana parishes. Schedler urges everyone to visit geauxvote.com to see a sample ballot and get poll information. He says he’s prepared to eat crow if Louisiana voters turnout at over 15-percent.

The reunion will be Miles’ first return to Tiger Stadium since his firing in September of last year. The Hat says when LSU called and invited him to be part of the celebration, he immediately said yes…:

The Monroe children’s television star known as Mr. Wonder will have his day in court in February.  Frank John Selas the Third, is facing child molestation charges from allegations that stem from a Rapides Parish camping trip in 1979.  The now 77-year-old was arrested in 2016 in San Diego. Selas’ Attorney Mike Small wanted an earlier trial date than February 5th, but there were several extenuating circumstances…

Small says Selas remains in good spirits despite his time in jail over the last 21 months…

Cut 11 (08) “allowing visitation.”

Selas has pleaded not guilty to all charges, including the two counts of aggravated rape. Small is confident his client will be found not guilty, because the now 45-year-old accuser has a criminal history…

A pretrial conference is scheduled for December 18.

The Boy Scouts of America have made the decision to allow girls into the organization and allow them to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. Executive Director of the Boy Scouts of Southeast Louisiana Ernesto Carballo says this is a great opportunity for females but isn’t much of a change from what they’ve already been doing.

Carballo says many people don’t know that girls are already included in many Boy Scout programs because they are smaller. He says the only change now will be that parents don’t have to run between meetings for their daughters and sons.

Carballo says change isn’t necessarily a bad thing and this is an example. He says many people ask how the Boy Scouts could do this to the Girl Scouts but the programs started out as co-ed.

A victory this Sunday over the Detroit Lions will give the Saints a winning record for the first time since the end of the 2013 season. New Orleans Quarterback Drew Brees on the possibility of having a 3-and-2 record after this weekend…

There’s a possibility starting tackle Terron Armstead will make his season debut against the Lions. He’s been working his way back from a torn shoulder labrum. Brees looks forward to when Armstead can return to the field…

Sunday’s game could be high scoring. Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford has nine touchdown passes, while Brees has thrown for eight….

ULM hosts Georgia State for homecoming on Saturday as Warhawks look to improve 4-0 in the Sun Belt. Freshman Quarterback Caleb Evans is a big reason for the Warhawks success as he’s third in the league in total offense. Head Coach Matt Viator says Evans decision making is getting better and better
