Additional information about the death of Gruver came out later Wednesday. Ten current and former LSU students all turned themselves in on charges in connection with the suspected hazing incident. Police reports indicate witnesses told authorities that Gruver, who had a .495 blood alcohol level at the time of death, was forced to drink more than other pledges because he kept messing up the Greek alphabet. The one student additionally charged with negligent homicide, Matthew Naquin, also reportedly targeted Gruver because the pledge was often late to events.
