Ten Saints players sat on the bench during the national anthem prior to the team’s win over Carolina, now a state lawmaker says it’s time for Louisiana to stop giving the professional franchise taxpayer dollars. St. Francisville Representative Kenny Havard says these players have a right to protest, but they should not do it during the anthem….

A 32-year-old Hahnville man faces several charges, including vehicular homicide, after he was allegedly driving impaired in a rollover wreck that killed a seven-year-old girl in St. Charles Parish. State Trooper Melissa Matey says this is a very tragic crash….
