The Shreveport City Council is slated to vote today on whether or not to move forward with the necessary steps to build a more than $100 million dollar mixed-use complex that could solidify the efforts of the city to attract the New Orleans Pelicans’ development league. Saints fans are down in the dumps today, as New Orleans struggled in a Monday Night Football loss to the Vikings. The Black and Gold had trouble scoring touchdowns after getting into the redzone, and quarterback Drew Brees threw for just 291 yards and one TD. So for the fifth time in the last six years, the Saints start the season with a loss. They host the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots on Sunday.
