After 9-11 , former Governor Mike Foster started the “Bucks for Trucks” campaign, where Louisianans donated money to purchase a new truck for the New York City Fire Department. Enough money was raised to build four firetrucks at Ferrera Fire Apparatus in Livingston Parish. Former owner, Chris Ferrera, says some of the trucks are still in use 16 years later…:

The campaign raised a total of 1.2 million dollars.
It was another rough start to the season for the Saints last night, as New Orleans fell to the Vikings 29-19. Saints Quarterback Drew Brees threw for 291 yards and one touchdown, but the Black and Gold could not establish a ground game. They rushed for just 60 yards.
