Tropical Storm Harvey is expected to make a second landfall in Cameron Parish tomorrow morning. State climatologist Barry Keim says that means more rain is yet to come. He says 5 to 10 more inches of rain is still possible…

Keim says Louisiana can expect two more days of rainfall, especially in the southwestern corner of the state.

Cleco is preparing for Tropical Storm Harvey’s arrival in Louisiana as five of the energy company’s operation regions are in the path of the storm. Spokesperson Jennifer Cahill says downed powerlines are a possibility, because of falling trees and limbs. She says Cleco is reminding customers to stay safe and beware of rising water…

State Police is investigating the shooting of a Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s deputy. The suspect in the case was fatally shot. Authorities say a deputy was shot while conducting a traffic stop near Simsboro High School. His bullet proof vest deflected the bullet. L-S-P says the deputy returned fire, killing the suspect.
