A 7-year-old in Webster Parish who allegedly shot his aunt two times during an argument, can not by state law face charges in the incident. That’s according to Sheriff Gary Sexton who says a child under the age of 10 cannot form intent. Sexton says this was not an accident and he hopes this 7-year-old gets help…:

He says the aunt is now recovering at home from two gunshot wounds.

LSU is set to officially announce Mike VII during a welcome event this afternoon outside the Tiger Habitat. The first 250 students to arrive will get a commemorative Mike the Tiger s-shirt. We’re expected to hear from Mike’s vet, Dr. Baker, and other university officials. The 11-month-old tiger was introduced to the public in his new habitat Monday morning, the same day students returned to campus to begin the fall semester.
