State Police say the driver who struck and killed two teen-aged girls walking to school in Breaux Bridge yesterday will be charged with two counts of vehicular homicide. Lt. J-B Slaton says 32-year-old Jeremy Abraham was traveling at a high rate of speed when his pick-up truck collided with the victims

In Lake Charles, a Sam Houston High School is dead after he fell off the roof of a moving S-U-V driven by an unlicensed 15 year-old. Sixteen year-old Kaleb Franks fell and suffered serious head injuries when the driver made a quick, unexpected jerking motion.

Former Governor Edwin Edwards continues to lead other candidates in this latest poll for the 6th Congressional District race, but in the past, his percentage share was less than 50 percent in a runoff situation. But this latest survey from The Glascock Group tells a different story…

That’s pollster Darrell Glascock, who says the poll shows Republican Garret Graves in second place with 22 percent in the primary, and Paul Dietzel with 19 percent. Edwards has 34-percent in the primary.

A head on collision on Highway One in Asuumption Parish that killed a young girl this week, has claimed another life. Brandon Pennison of Gray has died at a local hospital resulting from his injuries. Ten year-old Neveah Pierson died at the scene.
