A 32-year-old Monroe man who was shot by Ouachita Parish deputies is facing numerous charges after authorities say he armed himself with a firearm during a home invasion yesterday. Ryan Steven Odom was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A Gun Buy-Back Rally at Charles Johnson Park in Monroe takes place on Saturday. Residents who turn over a legal gun will receive a gift card.
