The state’s Attorney General’s Office announce the arrest of a Slidell man on 25 counts of distributing pornography involving juveniles. 29-year-old Jeremy Petry was arrested as part of a joint investigation into the downloading and distribution of child pornography. Petry faces up to 20 years in prison on each count, if convicted.

A new poll by the University of New Orleans Survey Research Center on the US Senate race shows 21-percent of voters are undecided heading into the November fourth election. UNO political science professor Ed Chervenak says his poll also shows that attitudes towards President Obama and the health care law he helped create are influencing voter preference…

The poll shows incumbent Democrat Senator Mary Landrieu winning the November primary over Republican challengers Bill Cassidy and Rob Maness, but losing to Cassidy in the December runoff.

The St. Mary Sheriff’s Office has arrested the suspect wanted in the shooting death of a Four Corners man earlier this month. Authorities say Henderson Wesley was arrested in Port Arthur, Texas and is being held on a count of second degree murder. Wesley is accused of killing Ronald Chillis, Jr. on October 8th.
